This year Gernika GoGoratuz invites you to share your experiences, doubts, difficulties, and reflections on the topic of A Pedagogy of Peace.
The theoretical aspects on the subject of Building a Culture of Peace advance quantitatively and qualitatively each day. Local experiences can contribute key empirical data. As such, Gernika Gogoratuz considers it vital to create spaces where people can think together; and propose how to best transmit knowledge, values, and attitudes in favour of a Culture of Peace that could bear fruit all throughout society.
The proposed objective for this convention has been enriched by gathered contributions from previous years. Among the many things stated is the support for: consensus-building, consenting to values of Coexistence, and a Just Peace. Not solely p eace at any price, rather, Peace by Peaceful Means that can take us closer to Reconciliation and that foster dialogues for change in the present, past and future.
