Eurographics Workshop on Animation and Simulation 2001

Manchester, UK, September 2-3

EG CAS is a high quality forum for the research in computer-animation and simulation. Created in 1990, the workshop has successfully attracted specialists in this growing field. This year, the workshop will especially cover the modelling and animation of complex phenomena. This includes the modelling of virtual creatures - from their body-parts to the control of their behavior, and the animation of natural phenomena such as water, smoke, clouds, vegetation, etc. The models and the animation techniques may have been designed either in the context of enhanced visual realism or for real-time applications such as Virtual Reality or games.

The workshop will take place just before the Eurographics '2001 Conference, at the same location. As such, it will provide an important opportunity to researchers planning to attend/present at either event, to spend more time exploring topics of common interest. The workshop will be held in two days, with paper presentation and discussion sessions. The final EG workshop approval is pending. Detailed information about Manchester, travelling and accommodation can be found at the Eurographics'2001 Web page: http://www.eg.org/eg2001/
