	IMAGINA	What event	When 4-5-6 Marzo 1998	Where Monaco	http://www.ina.fr/INA/Imagina/ IMAGINAMonaco 4-5-6 Marzo 1998La diciassettesima edizione di Imagina e del Prix Pixel-INA si svolgera' a Monaco dal 4 al 6 marzo 1998. Uno degli appuntamenti piu'interessanti nell'ambito dell'immagine digitale e degli sviluppi delle nuove tecnologie a livellointernazionale. Oltre ad una serie di conferenzee tables rondes su vari temi, tra i quali: Web/TV, l'identita' delle istituzioni nel libero scambio d'informazione, gli agenti intelligenti, la scrittura numerica e la sua realizzazione, gli effetti speciali, l'arte digitale e le nuove scritture, ed il consueto concorso Prix Pixel-INA, che vede la partecipazione di numerosi artisti legati alla sperimentazione delle nuove tecnologie e soprattutto dell'immagine sintetica e della computer animation, selezionati da una giuria internazionale, vi sara' una grande esposizione che permetterà di scoprire le ultime innovazioni nell'ambito dello sviluppo digitale e dell'evoluzione di numerosi strumenti. As an editorial board member I have been asked to actively seek out and solicit articles in two particular areas of interest, which Leonardo wishes to focus on in its 30th volume.1. 	ARS ELECTRONICA CENTER	What museum	Where Linz, Österreich	http://www.aec.at Ars Electronica Center, inaugurato lo scorso anno in occasione dell'apertura dell'Ars Electronica Festival, nella cittˆ austriaca di Linz continua a suscitare tra gli addetti e non solo un grande interesse. Il centro ideato da Hannes Leopoldseder e diretto da Gerfried Stocker sorge lungo la riva del Danubio ed e' costituito da piu' livelli. Ogni livello corrisponde ad un ambito di interesse specifico, dalla Realta' Virtuale alla Cyber City, dalla Rete della Conoscenza al Media Loft. Un museo dove Scienza, Arte, Industria e Societa' si incontrano in un percorso parallelo fatto di ricerca sugli sviluppi delle nuove tecnologie, centro di studio e documentazione sull'evoluzione degli strumenti tecnologici e vetrina di sperimentazioni artistiche che, grazie a centri come questo, hanno la possibilitˆ di venire alla luce stimolando sempre nuovi approcci creativi e interpretativi.Attivita' legate al centro sono: the Ars Electronica Festival, the Prix Ars Electronica e the Ars Electronica Future Lab.Non vi resta che visitare uno dei luoghi piu' importanti in Europa dedicato al rapporto fra arte e nuove tecnologie.
